Benjamin Zwick was born in the Canton of Thurgau Switzerland and studied at the Zurich University of Arts.​

At the age of five, he started to play the clarinet.

His father – a jazz musician (clarinet and saxophone) – accompanied his first musically steps. In his youth he won national prizes and played the solo clarinet in various orchestras. During this time he had the possibility to make some experiences with chamber music, symphonic orchestras and also symphonic wind bands.

​In 2008 he started with the professional musical education at the Zurich University of Arts. In 2013 he got the Master Diploma "with distinction".

​In 2016 Benjamin Zwick became Chief Conductor of the Symphonic Youth Orchestra of the Canton of Thurgau. For many years he is also Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the Symphonic Wind Bands in Altsätten (CH) and Appenzell (CH). Both orchestras give concerts at top level in their hometowns and international. Since summer 2022 he conducts the Amriswil Chamber Orchestra.

From fall 2020 to April 2024, Benjamin Zwick attended advanced studies in orchestral conducting at the Zurich University of Arts with Christof Brunner, Johannes Schlaefli and Iwan Wassilevski. He completed his Master of Advanced Studies with the highest grade “with distinction”.

He has already conducted numerous orchestras in the course of his conducting career. These include the Rousse Philharmonic Orchestra, the Allegra Festival Orchestra Sofia, the Blazerensemble Helicon, the Filarmonica Tîrgu Mureș, the Royal Symphonic Band of the Belgian Air Force, the Plojesti Philharmonic Orchestra, the Varna State Opera Orchestra and many more
